WIP Cone Flower – Finished!

I used mixtures of perm rose, Ultra blue and Quin Magenta to finish off the petals, I softened the background more and I used some Quin Magenta and Quin red + Hansa yellow to finish the center. I am going to call this finished, I like to look at them for a few days, sometimes I will leave it out in my front room so as I am coming and going I can look and see if there is anything I want to change. Hope everyone has a fantastic day! Thanks for taking the time to look and comment I really appreciate it!

I worked some more on the petals and started the center of the flower by adding some perm rose and in the shadow area perm rose + sepia, I also finished the stems and darkened spot in the background with this mixture.

I started to fill in some petals with perm rose and a little ultra blue for shadow.

  1. An other fantastic WIP, You make watercolor very easy, but there is a lot of work behind, I love this cone flower, and the way you made the background, an other very nice work.
