WIP Clematis starting the Petals – Update 2

Started working on some of the petals using, quin magenta, Ultra Blue, diox violet, and indigo in the very darkest parts, still a long ways to go, but I am really enjoying working big. I will probably work some more on the background next so I can judge the depth need for the dark on the petals better. Hopefully I will be able to post an update later today. I hope every one has a fantastic and creative day!

  2. Thank you Barbra, this is the biggest one I have ever done at 18 x 26 inches, i am really enjoying it, I love clematis they are so delicate. clematis are a very popular flower here in New Brunswick, everyone seems to have one type or other. Hope you have a wonderful day!

  3. Krista, this is coming along so great, I can't wait to see the finish. The picture seems to come across just fine on my computer, but then again you have the real thing in front of you. also, what size is this one? I've been earning to do a clematis I have saved several photos, you would think that living in Florida I wouldn't have a problem locating flowers, however I live in the Central part of the state and very rural, lots of green, and hay, lol! Unlike the southern part and the Keys. thats where you'll find the 'good stuff' I absolutley love your watercolors. BJ
