This is the tulips and crystal painting I started while working on my last still life with Pee Wee. This is also 16×20 and done on the watercolor board. I set this still life up with the help of my shadow box (yes I am addicted to it) in my studio. I started the background with some cobalt blue dulled down with a tiny bit of dark green, then I started to define a few of the leaves with hansa, sap and cobalt.

Thank you, Krista, for doing this as a demo! I already like your background and what you have done of the leaves! Tulips are such a great sign of spring…this painting is sure to cheer us up:-)
