I worked more on the shadows on the white part of the Iris and started to develop the stem and bud. I still have a long ways to go on this one. Thanks for stopping in. I hope everyone has a creative day!

You are amazing!!!!
Got back last night. Lots of inspiration but no painting. Anxious to get back at it.

Thank you Stephie, Patricia, Julie, Jeannette (you are too kind!), Angela, Christiane, Joan, Sheila, Sandeep and Vicki.
The teal color is actually not paint, it is masking fluid, it will be a bright yellow when finished. 🙂
Wow, very beautiful!
I am loving it! The rich purple is amazing!
I'm lovin' that touch of teal on the petals already.
Krista, your work is outstanding. I love your web site. All the best to you.
Krista, this painting is becoming more and more beautiful with each brushstroke. The velvety texture of the petals is wonderful.
Looking gorgeous! I especially love those little splashes of aqua near the flower center!
Krista,
The iris you are painting is my late sister's favorite. It is already beautiful. I so love working a little at a time on my paintings, filling in details. It's all so NEW to me, this feeling confidence in my artwork. Like a miracle. So is your work. I love how the richness of the fall petals is emerging. I called this sort of iris "caterpillar" irises when I was little. Your blog's a joy.
You have such patience Krista…i fear my paintings are just the opposite of yours!!!
This is going to be gorgeous, Krista. Sush delicate petals.
This is looking gorgeous already Krista…has an almost velvety look to it..
