This is where I am at right now with the bumble bee, I am getting close to being finished. I still have to refine the bee and wings and I might darken the shadow slightly. I hope everyone has a great night, thank you for taking the time to stop in 🙂
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I am returning to watercolor after a decades long haitus and it's so inspiring to see what others are doing. You have a lovely style.
Liz I started this painting along with 3 others on the 30th of December, I am finished one of them and close to finishing the bee. I was also working on 2 others when I started them (they are both done, coneflowers and red peony) I work on a few at a time so I am not sure exactly how long it takes…sometimes its seem like forever lol
This is such a beautiful painting. I've come here to your blog through Carl's blog. He suggested that you have inspired him to try his hand at flowers.
I'm not surprised at the inspiration you inspire. This work, your work is stunning.
I paint with words, but none so evocative as yours.
Krista, so nice to follow your steps…thanks for sharing and posting…as a watercolorist mysel, I don't have the patience to document the steps as you have here. lovely florals you do!
It is such a pleasure to watch a painting emerge in increments like this. I learn, but also appreciate the work that goes into your paintings. Beautiful. Thank you for having this blog–it inspires me to do more on my own, and I always learn. Have a good week.
