This is where I am at right now with the bumble bee, I am getting close to being finished. I still have to refine the bee and wings and I might darken the shadow slightly. I hope everyone has a great night, thank you for taking the time to stop in 🙂

Thank you very much, Pierre, Pamela, Murugesan, Adrian, Carl, L. Holm, Christiane, Priti, Sam, Elisabeth (what lovely words!), Joan, Julie, Barbra, Terry and Jeanette (I am glad you find inspiration, that is what it is all about!) I hope you all have a wonderful and creative week 🙂
It is such a pleasure to watch a painting emerge in increments like this. I learn, but also appreciate the work that goes into your paintings. Beautiful. Thank you for having this blog–it inspires me to do more on my own, and I always learn. Have a good week.
Outstanding work!
Honestly Krista I could almost hear that bee humming!
Krista, so nice to follow your steps…thanks for sharing and posting…as a watercolorist mysel, I don't have the patience to document the steps as you have here. lovely florals you do!
Hi Krista, how you can make something that we all run from look so beautiful. Great work!
Krista
This is such a beautiful painting. I've come here to your blog through Carl's blog. He suggested that you have inspired him to try his hand at flowers.
I'm not surprised at the inspiration you inspire. This work, your work is stunning.
I paint with words, but none so evocative as yours.
Well done Krista, that must have been really difficult, lovely texture to the bee.
Beautiful work, Krista. Love the softness and radiance of the painting.
Beautiful soft colors and masterful brushstrokes. I love the wings on that bee.
Radiant and gorgeous! wow!
Just Awesome
Excellent!
It is amazing how you managed to paint the see-through quality of the wings! Excellent workmanship!
This is looking beautiful Krista! The bumble bee looks so soft!
Nice Works krista !!! Superb !!
Thank you Cresendo and Liz.
Liz I started this painting along with 3 others on the 30th of December, I am finished one of them and close to finishing the bee. I was also working on 2 others when I started them (they are both done, coneflowers and red peony) I work on a few at a time so I am not sure exactly how long it takes…sometimes its seem like forever lol
Nice works ! Happy new year Krista!
