As you can see I have worked on the background and started blocking in the darks and shadows for the bird. I still want to have the background soft and faded, I am planning on layering some transparent glazed over top to knock it back some and fade out the branches. Wish me luck 🙂 Hope everyone has a wonderful and creative weekend!

How wonderful, he is already standing out. Have a wonderful weekend, too.
Looking great Krista. Eager to see updates on it. 🙂
Thank you Colette, martine, Ralph, Vicki and Elizabeth I am probably crazy for posting the steps as I do not usually work with acrylics but maybe I can look back and learn from them 🙂
Krista, thanks so much for commenting/visiting my blog. Likewise, I really enjoy your work and it's a pleasure to view your paintings. I especially love they way you capture your flowers in your paintings…pure mastery! Cheers, Colette
Bel espoir que celui de l'oiseau. Belle progression en vue avec cette petite mésange. Bonne continuité. Bises
Looking good so looking forward to seeing the end result
This is looking good so far.
You've created an interesting view of the chickadee, Krista. I always like to see the stages of an artist's work and can't wait to see what you do next!
